Even *virtual* customer service sucks!
 Has anyone else noticed the absolute creeping pace of web-based anything these days? In the past, when I joined a site and the password was emailed, by the time I logged into my email, voila! the password was waiting. Now, it can take up to an hour. I mean, really --- the freakin' computer generates everything! It's not as if a real live person sits in the chair and has to think of a really good password to send then type it into the template and click the button! And forget trying to access "24/7 customer support". Now where I come from, that means a real live person is manning the phonebanks 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. With a previous ISP - perfectly acceptable in every other way generally - 24/7 actually meant the answering machine was on for your call. I'm going to go check my email for the bloody password now. I realize it's only been 15 minutes and the computer probably just stepped out for a usb break, but a girl can always hope.

Look at it this way; it's just as good as customer service in real life. :P

Look at it this way; it's just as good as customer service in real life. :P QFT I spent 35 minutes on the phone today, trying to get Cox to activate a modem they sold me back in February, only to find out that customer service is my job, not their's. It's my job to call billing tomorrow, and find out how to get my modem activated, because the tech "support" people can't be bothered. What the hell is their job then? In the meantime, my old modem is dieing a slow, miserable death, leading to really long page loads, for a cable connection...
