Finding a new job...
I hate quitting jobs. The worst part about it is having to find another one. Especially with the way that the job market is around these parts. So now I am stuck with discouraging lag time to try to find another job... yay... Is it just me... or do you guys hate having to find jobs too?

I like to have another job in the line-up before I quit the present one (ok, so that doesn't always work, but it's great when it does!). Be as patient as you can afford to be. Otherwise, grab a job that'll 'pay the bills' for now while you're still looking for a good one you'll enjoy staying at for a while.

Yeah I agree about the other job lined up thing... but sometimes it's not within your powers to wait. Like in this situation. This has been the most screwed up job that I have ever worked at... and I dreaded going everyday. Not because I didn't like it... but because I dreded having to go in after the shift before us and have to clean up all their messes and do their work. And no matter how much we would complain to the manager about it, he would never say anything to anyone, and nothing would get done. The final straw was yesterday when we came in and absolutely nothing was done... so we started doing some of the closing stuff to help out the supervisor who was closing the dinning room... and instead of doing some of the stuff that we were trying to help her finish... she STOOD THERE AND WATCHED US do her work... while she was doing nothing. And when I said something to her about it was right after they closed and she said that she had to count the drawer... and spent 40mins doing it... going as slow as she could... just so she didn't have to help. I have no patience for ignorance or laziness like that. It's bad enough that we have to help do that shifts stuff everyday... but to have someone sit there and watch you do their work. NO WAY! So we called the manager and talked to him about it. She was still there so we told him to call the office phone and talk to her... and he said "No no no, I'll just talk to her tomorrow" which in his language means that he was just gunna blow it off and not say anything. I was DONE dealing with that. What I want to be when I finish school is a first grade teacher... but I'm not yet. And I'm definitely not anyones mother so I shouldn't have to clean up after other people constantly. Especially not grown people. And have to deal with a manager that just lets it happen. It's BS... and I couldn't stand it anymore. I had to go.
